Key Highlights of the Echo Hill Experience
Echo Hill Country Store distinguishes itself through several core offerings that resonate deeply with its customer base. These elements combine to create a unique and compelling destination:
Commitment to Local Sourcing: A significant portion of the inventory at Echo Hill is sourced directly from nearby farms and independent artisans within Pennsylvania. This focus ensures that customers receive the freshest possible products, ranging from seasonal produce to handcrafted items, directly supporting the regional agricultural ecosystem. This dedication to locality is a cornerstone of the store’s philosophy.
Curated Selection of Specialty Goods: Beyond everyday necessities, the store prides itself on offering a carefully selected range of specialty provisions. This often includes unique jams, preserves, baked goods made on-site or by local bakers, and distinctive pantry items that elevate everyday cooking. The selection process is thoughtful, prioritizing quality and traditional preparation methods over mass production.
A True Community Gathering Point: More than just a place to shop, Echo Hill functions as an informal meeting spot. Its location and welcoming environment naturally draw people together, fostering a sense of connection that is increasingly rare. Staff members are knowledgeable not only about their products but also about the local area, often providing valuable insights and recommendations to visitors.
Emphasis on Quality Over Volume: Unlike large retailers, Echo Hill focuses on offering a limited, high-quality selection. This means every item on the shelf has been chosen with care, ensuring that customers are purchasing goods that meet high standards of taste and durability. This selective inventory management simplifies the shopping experience while guaranteeing satisfaction.
These highlights underscore the store’s mission: to provide exceptional local products in an environment that feels genuine and supportive of the surrounding community. It’s this holistic approach—blending commerce with community service—that solidifies its standing.

Great little country store with tons of bulk goods. Spices, flours, candies, teas - you name it. They also have a good selection of organic and local food. There is a refrigerated case with milks, cheeses, meats, kefir, and kombucha. There is a parking lot and it is easily visible from the road.

Love this place. They handle a lot of bulk items and organic products. They also sell lunch meat and cheese freshly sliced when you order. They have freezer products and sell raw milk and cage-free eggs.

We are so fortunate to have this wonderful dry goods store in our area!
They are very friendly and can order food buy the case if you want something beyond their vast selection.
It's a daunting task to list what they have or even the types of things they have. Here's an attempt; Jams, Jelly, Maple Syrup, honey, sugar, salt, chocolate, oils, sauces, juices, non-dairy milkshake, spices, cereal, nuts, dried fruits, pasta, rice, dried beans, flour, grains, soaps, vitamins, snacks, candies, teas, bread, sodas, deli, frozen and refrigerated foods. Please know that for each thing, the selection is amazing! Want a specific type of gluten-free flour and organic, they probably have it. Or maybe you want flour ground on-site, or peanut butter warm from being made fresh.
Please plan some extra time to browse, the small store exterior hides so many treasures!

Great hidden gem!
Organic, global, and selections. Reasonable deli. Fresh cheeses in familiar and exotic flavors. How did they fit it all in?
I saw ghee, kimchi, crepes, and penne alongside the largest selection of extracts, spices, and vinegars I have ever seen. Plus, bulk candies, chocolates, and baking supplies.
Saffron in a jar? Check.
Real vanilla beans? Check.
Horseradish cheese? Check.
Duck fat?, Dried mushrooms?, Champagne vinegar? Kombucha starter? Miso paste? Check, check, check, and check.
I hope no one reads this because I want to keep this l to myself !
You pay for quality and organicness, so it's not a great deal financially, but it's still a great find gastronomically.

A very unique grocery store in farm country. Not your "normal" grocery as it has bulk flours, all varieties, tons of unique spices you don't normally find. You have to check it out for yourself. Well worth the trip.
